Further to our statement of 11th May 2021 regarding the solitary EHV-1 case here at Millbry Hill Stud, we are delighted to report that we have now completed the 28 day period of lockdown in accordance with the Veterinary Code of Practice and Guidelines issued by the HBLB. No horses have either left or entered the premises.
As recommended we have carried out an extensive testing programme and results have shown no evidence of viral activity. Also no horses have displayed any abnormal or clinical signs.
Mare and Stallion Owners have been duly informed at every stage of the programme and we would like to thank them for their understanding and support through what has been a very worrying time.
We would also like to thank our great team of staff and vets who have worked conscientiously around the clock during the last 28 days, with professionalism and diligence throughout these unmerited circumstances.
EHV is a major concern to each and everyone of us and our thoughts go out to those in similar situations.
